The Highline, recently opened to the public, is an old elevated rail line that has been shut down since the late 70′s, and recently transformed into a park/walkway.
Dinner at ‘Bread’.
The ‘lovely’ bathroom at ‘Max Fish’.
WW2 machine gun.
Old school rifle.
Yes, a fully working AK47.
Outdoor deck & pond at the cabin. No sound of banjos at this point.
The local ‘Downsville Diner’. The confederate flag on the shopfront hints at the first ‘twangs’ were imminent.
Our wheels (Mustang) for a day of cruising around Downsville and surrounding ‘communities’.
Hands up people…. if you dare! The good ol’ ‘Als Sporting Goods’ store. More guns, knives, camo gear, targets and stuffed animals than you could poke a stick at!
Drinks and ‘smores’ by the fire. fyi: ‘smores’ are toasted marshmallow and melted chocolate sandwiched between 2 sweet biscuits. My heart attack had a heart attack.
Boom! Fireworks are set off at the July 4 BBQ from Crazyville. Moments after this, 2 pounds of dynamite were set off… Fireworks, redneck style!
Babbi in front of the largest bonfire ever. Abbi in the nastiest denim jacket ever (yes yes, it was borrowed to blend in with the locals).
The pinacle… the bonifire of sleepers. Yes, that is a full blown bulldozer next to it!
Recovering. Not quite sure what was witnessed the night before.
Evan & Jess heading out into the pond.
The city folk at the cabin.
Skulls and Stripes.
George Washington Bridge… as we head back to civilization.
